Amsterdam Mist by Flying Dutchman is a strain that was created by using a pure sativa strain that was then combined with various hybrids in order to reduce flowering times and pump up bud size. These plants can grow extremely tall, so it’s not really the best strain for indoor grows.

Indoors, the plants that will do the best are those that come out less sativa, as they’re the shortest plants. It’s quite complicated to grow this strain in this sort of environment, although if you prune them right you can get some amazing result, reaching around 300g with 5 plants per square meter in 7L flowerpots.

Outdoors you’ll be able to make the most out of this strain, as it grows out long and thin once it begins flowering, meaning that you’ll have to train it in order to get the most possible yield – the buds are airy but they’re still quite hefty, and when they accumulate on one branch it can become quite a problem. They don’t need many nutrients, just patience – they’ll be ready towards mid-November at the latest.

Its effect is very clearly Sativa; lucid, laugh-inducing and uplifting. It’s perfect to smoke with friends. It has a dense, fresh, minty flavor that can be quite intense.

  • Sativa/Indica: 80/20%
  • Flowering: 65-70 days indoors, mid-October outdoors.
  • Height: 1-1.5m indoors, 1.7-2m outdoors.
