The in-line dripper lets us set watering points at the desired location of the 16mm pipe. It has been designed for open field cultures where water is meant to fall on the ground and is not channeled by a microtube towards the plant.
This is a very simple way of installing drippers since all we have to do is cut the pipe where the plant is located, set the inline dripper, and carry on with the same pipe until the next plant.
Flow rate of these drippers is about 3L/h. Part of the dripper fits in the pipe whereas the other one has a small circuit that will make water fall out of it little by little. The only maintenance required is removing the circuit part and clean it from time to time.
We must have a water tank with a water pump and a 16mm main line which supplies the irrigation water. A time for the pump is also necessary.
There are occasions where we take water directly from the supply network with a timer. Be aware that this system of taking water will force you to go fertilizing and do a manual watering at least once a week.
