Ph- Bloom by Canna is a liquid to lower the pH of the nutrient solution if need be. It’s used to adjust the acidity of the growth medium to ensure our plants absorb the maximum amount of nutrients during the flowering stage.
The acidity level will determine the speed at which nutrients are assimilated and the amount that can enter the plants. Because of that, controlling that parameter can mean a large increase of our crops.
Depending on the growth medium (water, earth or coco), the levels will be different but it must be kept between 5.5 and 6.5.
In hydroponic and aeroponic systems, or where the main medium is water, the pH level during the growth stage will be a little lower (between 5.5 and 5.8) than during the flowering (between 5.8 and 6.2).
With earth, you have to measure the substrate’s pH to later adjust the acidity of the nutrient mix in consequence, in order to keep, raise or lower it. If the earth’s pH is very high, you have to lower the pH with the mix in order to compensate, and vice versa, if it’s very low, you have to increase it.
With substrates of coco fibre, you always have to keep the irrigation mix between 5.8 and 6.5 to obtain the best results.
If you use a reactive pH meter, which won’t provide a result as exact as electronic ones do, you have to keep the levels between 6 and 6.5, what corresponds to color s from yellow up to light green. If the reactive becomes dark green, it means the pH is too high and you must lower it with ph- Bloom or pH- Grow by Canna, depending of the stage. If it turns blue, you must lower it even more. If it turns orange or red, you have to raise it with pH+ by Canna.
Ph- Bloom’s dosage and usage:
- Measure the pH of your nutrient solution after adding all the fertilizers.
- If it’s too high, fix it with some drops of pH- Bloom.
- Measure the pH again and repeat the process if necessary.
- When the solution has the required pH, let the mix rest for a while and then water your plants.
