With this ceramic base you won’t need a special LEC ballast to use these kinds of bulbs, meaning that you’ll be able to use your LEC bulbs with a classic reflector.
It has a special thread for these specific bulbs on one side, and on the other it has a universal thread, so you can use it with both smooth and Stucko reflectors.
You shouldn’t take the base off of your reflector due to the fact that the shape of the base is similar to the thread on a bulb, which allows you to place it on the base adaptor.
