Roller Extractor BHO

With a Roller Extractor and a couple of bottles of butane, you can turn your leftover cannabis trimmings into BHO, one of the purest and most potent cannabinoid extracts. Keep in mind that you need to purge the resulting extract of any leftover gas residues that can be dangerous and toxic for consumption.

Place your extractor with the lid downwards (with the grid), which should have a paper filter attached to it nice and tightly. Fill up your Roller Extractor with your weed (if you shred it you’ll get more quantity but if you put in full buds you’ll get more quality). Pack the weed in nicely so that no air-bubbles end up ruining the process, as it’ll be a waste of gas. Once it’s full, place the lid on and leave it in the freezer for 24h.

The next day the extractor will be ready to use. Prepare a Pyrex bowl or tray for depositing the results. Depending on the size of your extractor, large or small, you’ll need one or two bottles of gas. The gas goes in through your weed and comes out the other side, extracting all of the active cannabinoids from your cannabis. The next step is removing the gas so that your extract is 100% pure.

This can be done by placing your Pyrex tray on a heating pad or plaque that allows you to know the exact temperature. It can be done by using hot water and placing the tray into that, but it’s much harder to control the temperature using this method, and it can turn into budder rather than shatter, which is a softer more malleable material.

It’ll begin bubbling up, expelling the gas, and once the bubbles begin to die down and stop, you’ll need to start scraping it from your tray with a sharp knife (disinfected). This is much easier to do if you place it in the freezer for a few minutes so that it’s a bit harder.

Some people say that it’s okay to smoke straight away, although we recommend an extra step; vacuum purge it for 24h in order to give it a more solid texture that’s much easier to handle and 100% pure.

After every use, clean out your Roller Extractor tube and other tools using rubbing alcohol.
